Raul Rodriguez comes to Warren High School from the Harlandale ISD where he spent twenty-six years of his teaching career. He was a middle school assistant for 2 years before becoming the high school assistant. As head director at Harlandale High School, his bands have earned a total of 10 UIL Sweepstakes Awards, appeared at UIL Area Marching contest 9 times, won three “Best in Class” trophies at national competitions in Florida and numerous awards at local marching contests and Fiesta events.
Mr. Rodriguez is a native of Crystal City but has lived in San Antonio for the last 28 years. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) and a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Texas A &M—Kingsville.
Mr. Rodriguez is an active member of the Texas Music Adjudicator’s Association and judges frequently throughout Texas. He is also an active member of the Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Bandmasters Association.
Mr. Rodriguez also plays guitar in several groups in and around San Antonio. His hobbies include hunting and fishing. He is also a Big Dallas Cowboys fan.
