Daniel Asgari is an Associate Director of Bands and Percussion Director in his 5th year of teaching at Warren High School. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Texas at San Antonio with his Bachelor’s in Music Education. During his time at UTSA, Mr. Asgari studied under Dr. Robert Rustowicz, Dr. Si Millican, Dr. Graeme Francis, & Mrs. Sherry Rubins.
Currently, Mr. Asgari serves as the conductor of the Non-Varsity Band, and served as the director of the Sub Non-Varsity band upon his arrival at Warren. During his time as director of both Non-Varsity bands, the ensembles earned consistent Sweepstakes ratings at Concert & Sight-Reading contest.
During the fall, Mr. Asgari serves as the Percussion Director where the program has won numerous awards, including being the 2 time consecutive Grand Champions of the South Texas Drumline Classic held in San Antonio. Most recently, the Warren Percussion section came out 4th place in the Standstill Division at the 2015 Percussive Arts Society International Convention Marching Festival.
Mr. Asgari is a current member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, the Percussive Arts Society, and is endorsed by Innovative Percussion. During his free time, he enjoys live music, traveling, and supporting the 5 time NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs, all with his wonderful wife Vanessa and their two English Bulldogs, Emma and Oliver.
